Our senior ladies suffered a setback in their pursuit of the title when they dropped two points at home to Fastnet Rovers today, drawing 2-2. Molly Sweeney netted the first to bring her tally for the season to twenty goals in all competitions. Margaret Doyle nabbed the second Rovers goal of the game to register her first of the campaign. At crucial times of the game, the Rovers girls thought they should have been awarded penalties, but it wasn’t to be. The girls will go back to the training, dust themselves down and come back stronger from this.
