A brilliant sunny afternoon in Gorey, saw a game dominated by a strong Rovers side against Carnew FC. A great strike from Molly Sweeney saw Rovers go in 1-0 at half time. A solid performance in the second half saw Rovers get a well deserved second again from Molly Sweeney seeing Rovers take home the shield. A great performance from all involved, including great runs from Aoife Caffrey and Louise Corrigan, Aisling McDonald, Edwina Sayer captain Sinead Keogh and a player of the match performance from Mags Doyle. It was a solid defensive performance throughout the match came from Anne Muprhy, Louise Johnson,  Amanda Duffy. Amy Kavanagh pulled off a great save in the dying minute to ensure Rovers lead stayed intact. Great performances from the subs as well including Cara Walsh, Sophie Byrne, Natasha McCoy Ward and Katie saw out a great performance all round. Big congratulations to Paul, Tom and all the girls, a great achievement. Best of luck in the remainder of the season.
