WICKLOW ROVERS AFC CLUB NOTES WEEK ENDING 6th JUNE 2021

Connor Lewins was the winner of our June 50/50 draw scooping up a cheque for €760, unluckily for Connor he failed to add the bonus ball jackpot of €1,200 to top up his winnings as his bonus ball 17 didn’t bring him joy in Wednesday night’s main lotto draw with the number 33 been the all important bonus ball. It means our bonus ball jackpot now increases to €1,300 for the July draw. Tickets are on sale for our 50/50 draw on a continuous basis, every draw will be streamed live on the club Facebook page. The draw has guaranteed monthly winner, who will also have the chance to win a Jackpot prize by predicting the Bonus Ball Number in the main Irish Lottery draw that will take place the day after the winner is announced. It’s a 50/50 draw, where 50% of the revenue from ticket purchases will go to the winner and the other 50% will go back into the club to support the upkeep, maintenance and enhance the facilities for everyone. The cost of a ticket is only €5 and you can buy as many tickets as you like. You can also subscribe to a monthly payment option, so that you won’t forgot to enter into the draw each month!!. The Jackpot prize is €1,300 for our July draw and will go up by a minimum of €100 per month if not won. Tickets will be available to purchase online via our new club shop website www.wicklowroversclubshop.com on an ongoing basis, you can also purchase your tickets by contacting any committee member or any club member. Many thanks from the Wicklow Rovers fundraising committee.

The WDSL have proposed to restart competitive games with last season’s shield semi-finals fixed for the weekend of June 19th and 20th with the finals taking place on the weekend of June 26th and 27th. Venues and kick off times have yet to be confirmed with the league seeking to hold the matches at neutral venues. The new 2021 season has been scheduled for a start date on the weekend of July 3rd and 4th which will also include the start of the small sided and non-competitive games. Here’s hoping everything goes to plan.
